BREST, 15 September (BelTA) – Brest is set to host a Belarus-China tourism forum on 19-22 October, the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
told BelTA.
The event will bring together over 150 participants. Brest will host representatives of tourism businesses, government agencies, and professional associations from the provinces of Hubei, Shanxi, and Guizhou, as well as the cities of Beijing, Urumqi, Shanghai, and others. Members of the Chinese diaspora living in Belarus are also expected to attend. The forum will serve as a platform for meetings between tour operators, hoteliers, airlines, digital platforms, professional associations, government agencies, media outlets, and travel bloggers.
The program includes panel sessions, B2B meetings, and the signing of memorandums. The parties will discuss key areas for cooperation: top tourist routes and locations in Brest Oblast and China, logistics alignment, investment in tourism infrastructure, implementation of joint projects, development of the hotel network and transport logistics, the use of digitalization in the industry, and workforce training.
“On 20 October, panel discussions will be held and hospitality zones will operate in the conference hall of the Brest City Executive Committee. Business meetings and B2B talks between partners from Belarus and China are scheduled. The tourism potential of Brest Oblast will be presented, alongside an exchange of experience in marketing, digital solutions, and quality standards. The program for 21 and 22 October features a promotional tour for Chinese guests to top sites in Brest Oblast,” the Brest branch of BelCCI said. During the tour, participants will visit the Kossovo Castle, the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, the Brest Fortress, and rural tourism estates, where they will also sample Belarusian cuisine.
The forum is organized by the Brest branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Brest Oblast Executive Committee, with the support of the National Tourism Agency, the Embassy of Belarus in China, the National Union of Tourism Organizations, and the National Union of Tourism Industry.
